Kaleigh Flynn, Land Bank Director, told the committee that the Land Bank "is comfortable with the proposed $10,000 expenditure and has sufficient funds available to address any immediate work that needs to be completed." Kevin Rooney said selling the property at auction could yield a higher price but might reduce the county's and Land Bank's ability to ensure the building is properly maintained and put to productive use. The resolution was approved 5-0.
The transfer gives the Land Bank authority to address immediate maintenance to avoid the property becoming neglected or underutilized.
