Council approved a replat application from Jeffrey and Loretta Phillips to delete a center lot line at 110 Western Avenue (Fairgrounds Addition) so an existing home can be moved and setbacks avoided. Planning/engineering staff described the request as straightforward: the change does not alter property boundaries and was recommended for approval conditioned on public-works verification of water and sewer tap locations.
A nearby property owner, Monica Gonzales, asked whether the replat would affect surrounding properties; staff responded that the change applies only to the subject property. "My name is Monica Gonzales. I own property on Eastern Avenue, and I just wanna check to double check, make sure this if this is going to affect property lines in the in the neighborhood... or is it just that particular property?" she asked. Staff confirmed it only affects that property. Council approved the lot-line adjustment by motion and voice vote.
