Staff said they had met with Officer Jason Brantley and recommended appointing him on an interim basis at his current hourly rate plus a $1,000 stipend per pay period. "My recommendation is to appoint Jason Brantley as the interim police chief for the City of Bertram Police Department," staff said. Council moved to approve the interim appointment and stipend; the motion carried. Two personnel items were deferred to closed session.
