Event organizers credited multiple departments with making the cook-off possible and said the district’s Child Nutrition team set up and managed the food-service aspects of the event.
"Ben and his team here in nutrition who set up this site for us as well as just partnering with us along the way," Martha De Ojeda said while thanking staff; she also thanked communications for livestreaming and transportation for bringing students to the event. Organizers said judges selected the winning dish for piloting but that operational rollout depends on scheduling and equipment availability.
The event concluded with photos and acknowledgements; staff said they will coordinate next steps with Child Nutrition for the pilot and with communications for publicity.
