Board members and Superintendent Dr. Brian Doelger offered extended praise for Gulluscio's 12 years of service, noting he led transportation partnerships that reduced bus costs, revamped the school cafeteria, oversaw wellness and garden programs, and served as personnel director. Doelger and members described Gulluscio as a transformative presence who progressed from substitute and custodian roles to administrator.
Gulluscio reflected on his start in the district: he recalled beginning as a 17-year-old teaching assistant and later serving as a substitute, custodian, coach and teacher before returning as an administrator, and he expressed gratitude for the district. The board acknowledged the breadth of responsibilities his departure creates and said it will look for fiscally creative solutions to fill the role.
