At the April 6 public hearing on the wetlands application for 13 Dickerson Drive, Town environmental consultant Theresa Masin urged greater setbacks and expanded vegetative buffers to improve compliance and protect wetland areas.
The applicant acknowledged that demolition of existing walls "occurred due to structural limitations and acknowledged that it was a mistake," and asked to rebuild on the same footprint because moving the house would require relocating septic and other infrastructure. Planning Board and Conservation Advisory Council memos were read into the record; the Council noted an approval memo (4–0) and the Planning Board chair said the original approval still stands. Council members questioned whether the house could be relocated farther from wetlands; the applicant said relocation would be costly and complicated. The hearing was closed for the Board to deliberate further.
