Neighbor and public commenter Bob Alapcivic told the commission he supports the proposed enclosure at 18113 Bancroft, saying the work would be done under an existing roofline and would be visually consistent with the neighborhood. He said the applicant's lot is hemmed in by slopes and that backyard neighbors have no grievance with the plan.
"Because Dave is doing this under a roof line that already exists... it makes it visually appealing, and it makes it not cumbersome to anyone," Alapcivic said, adding that forcing a roof redesign could be more intrusive to multiple neighbors. His remarks were the principal piece of public comment recorded in the hearing before commissioners moved to deliberations.
