Board recognizes staff, honors National Merit-commended student; student councils report activities

The Mason Consolidated Schools Board recognized staff and students during its Nov. 13 meeting.
Shawna Lucarelli (HS mathematics teacher) and Todd Hodge (CTE construction trades teacher) were named Staff Members of the Month for September and October, respectively, under sponsorship from Leski Wittman Insurance Agency. The minutes note that these nominations came from staff and were honored by the sponsor.
"Zhuoran Cai,12th grade student was recognized for being named a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program," the minutes state; the student also received a $1,000 BCSN Spotlight Scholar award and will be featured Dec. 14–Jan. 4.
Student council reports followed recognitions: Molly Sepulveda updated the board on high school student council activities and Madeline Kolbe reported on middle school student council activities. The minutes record no public comments during the public comment period.
