Rockdale ISD receives an "A" rating under Texas FIRST financial accountability system

Business Manager Rebecca King conducted the public hearing on the district's Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) report and told the Board that "Rockdale ISD received a rating of "A" for "Superior Achievement" for rating year 2024-25 under the FIRST financial accountability system." King said the rating uses data from the 2023-24 school year, including PEIMS student and staff data, audit data and other information collected by the Texas Education Agency.
After the FIRST report presentation the Board took no additional action on the rating and moved to adjourn. Trustee Amy Casas moved to adjourn; Vice President Jason Barcak seconded the motion. The motion carried 6 For (Miles, Barcak, Casas, Keen, Laughlin, Heintze), 0 Against, and the meeting adjourned at 5:16 p.m.
