Councilmembers questioned the salary calculation and pay steps; staff clarified the staff report reflects the top step of a five-step pay scale and that actual hiring would occur within the five-step range based on experience. "Employees are hired along the range of that pay scale based on experience and knowledge," staff said. The council voted unanimously to adopt the job descriptions and approve the resolution authorizing the salary schedule.
