Board renews DOT snow-and-ice agreement; officials say reimbursement is small

A trustee noted the village typically receives at most about $9,000 under the formula and that the administrative process can be burdensome. "Sadly, I think for our $9,000 reimbursement... you end up doing much of the..." the administrator observed, and trustees acknowledged the reimbursement is modest but the agreement is required for state reimbursement eligibility.
The board approved the continuation of the agreement by voice vote. Staff said the agreement will likely return for routine renewal or amendment as the formula and inflation adjustments are updated.
