Neighbors press Iona and Bronxville for clear parking, circulation and event management plans

Residents described recurring overflow parking and double‑parking during games and asked the board to require signage and active event parking management. "When Concordia was in operation, they had a lot of students parking on Boreal and Greenfield … I'm hoping that whenever the parking study is done, they are not relying on the very quiet, peaceful residential streets for overflow parking," said Susan Salerno. Several speakers urged that any Rose Avenue gate be closed to prevent drop‑off and curbside congestion on narrow residential streets.
The board asked Iona to provide a parking/traffic circulation plan, a signage plan, and a description of how events would be managed (attendants, traffic control) before the board advances the application to zoning or makes a SEQRA determination.
