District highlights teacher-led professional development and plans for regional PD collaboration

"We've done those job-alike groups with our specialists... and we started to have conversations really preliminary with the faculty about what it would look like if we extended this out," a leadership representative said, describing a proposal to coordinate an instructional hub or a joint PD day across several districts. Committee members praised the transparency of PD materials on the district website and noted that built-in budget support exists for graduate classes and reimbursement programs. Staff said they collect feedback after each PD session and will use that to refine future offerings and consider opening successful sessions to neighboring districts.
