Superintendent Mark Branca and staff reported that Rockport has completed the NEASC self-assessment, uploaded evidence for each indicator and administered faculty, student and family surveys that NEASC will use in its review. The committee was told the data remain fresh and that leadership will triangulate that information to identify common themes and outliers before the site visit.
"We've completed our self assessment process, and we've now uploaded evidence for each indicator," the superintendent said. He told the committee the external accreditation team will conduct a full site visit Nov. 16–18 that will include interviews and classroom observations, and that principal Rose is expected to return to the committee in the fall to brief members on summer and fall preparations. Committee members noted the survey findings echo existing district goals around communication, student voice and professional development.
NEASC summary findings, once produced, will be used by leadership to refine district improvement strategy; the presentation was framed as a progress update rather than a decision item. Committee members asked whether survey data would be made public; staff said a summary overview will be shared and that NEASC will include the data in its report after the visit.
