Marlborough Recreation committee announces Trunk or Treat and new tree lighting; DPW groundbreaking underway

Recreation Chair Arlette Zambito reported 43 trunks registered for Trunk or Treat on Oct. 26 and proposed moving the tree lighting to Town Park on Dec. 7 with a Christmas parade to follow; Supervisor Corcoran reported a DPW groundbreaking with foundation work started and Central Hudson activity underway.
Recreation Committee Chair Arlette Zambito told the board the Trunk or Treat will be held at Town Park on Oct. 26 from 3:30 to 5:30 PM and that "they already have 43 trunks registered." She said the Recreation Committee will hold the tree lighting at Town Park on Saturday, Dec. 7 (rain date Dec. 8) and asked the board and Police Chief for approval to include a Christmas parade that would start at 5:30 PM and follow the Milton Memorial Day Parade route to end in the park.
Supervisor Corcoran also reported a groundbreaking at the Department of Public Works earlier that day: foundation work had started and work by Central Hudson is progressing. The board voted to allow the Recreation Committee to move forward with the Christmas parade; the motion carried (Yeas: 4, Nays: 0).
