Bill Thorson was appointed and sworn in to the Viborg City Council during the regular session on Oct. 15, 2025. Mayor John Edelman presided over the meeting, which began at 6:00 p.m. at Viborg City Hall and listed Ross Frederickson, Neal Hanson, Jared Voog and Kevin Weier as present.
During opening business the council approved the meeting agenda (motion by Ross Frederickson, second by Jared Voog), minutes from the Sept. 10, 2025 regular session (motion by Neal Hanson, second by Ross Frederickson) and claims/payroll. The minutes and motions were recorded as carried in the meeting minutes. The payroll listing included department wage totals such as Finance Office $6,775.42 and Police $3,464.89.
