Madisonville — Randy Dudley, the recently appointed Chief Appraiser for the Madison County Appraisal District, presented an overview of the appraisal district's operations, described the appraisal process and noted recent changes to the homestead exemption that could affect school-district revenues and taxpayers. He also submitted the appraisal district's proposed budget for the 2025–2026 fiscal year to the board.
Following the presentation, Randi Pipes moved and Quincy Allen seconded a motion to approve the Madison & Grimes County Appraisal District proposed budget; the motion carried unanimously.
