Trustee Colin Clements announced he will resign from the Lammersville Joint Unified School District governing board after 10 years, saying he has accepted a job in Roseville and decided the time demands of the new role will make serving effectively difficult. ‘‘For the last 10 years, it has been my honor to serve the people and more importantly, the students of this district as a school board trustee,’’ Clements said, recounting district achievements from bond measures to award recognitions.
Superintendent Dr. Nicholas introduced a resolution to open the provisional appointment process for the at‑large seat that will run through December 2026. The board approved Resolution No. 24‑25‑9 to solicit applications, screen finalists, and interview candidates at a special meeting scheduled for Nov. 13; applications will be due Nov. 1, 2024. Trustees praised Clements’ service and expressed appreciation for his decade on the board.
