Malone ISD board approves meal prices, bus routes and lunchroom freezer purchase

The board voted to set employee lunch at $5.00 and employee breakfast at $3.25; visitor meal prices were approved at the same rates. The motion on meal prices was moved by Daisy Chavez and seconded by Justin Dudik and recorded as carried 6 to 0. Separately, the board approved regular and hazardous bus routes for the 2024–2025 school year and authorized purchase of a new lunchroom freezer plus associated electrician work; those motions also passed 6 to 0.
The approvals allow the district to implement the meal program and finalize transportation routing and lunchroom equipment work ahead of the school year.
