"Approve August 29, 2024 as the date for Public Hearing and Adoption of 2024-2025 Budget," moved Justin Dudik and seconded by Daisy Chavez, was recorded as carried 6 to 0. A separate motion to set Aug. 29 for the tax-rate hearing was moved by Betty Penney and seconded by Justin Dudik and also carried 6 to 0.
The votes establish the public process and timeline the district must follow before final adoption of the budget and tax rate. The board will consider public comment and the formal adoption at the Aug. 29 proceedings.
