Malone ISD trustees unanimously approve four 2024–25 policies and plans

Trustee Justin Dudik moved to approve the Attendance Procedure Manual for 2024–2025; Trustee Daisy Chavez seconded and the motion carried 5–0. Dudik also moved to approve the district’s Internet Safety and Acceptable Use Policy for the coming school year, with Chavez seconding; that motion carried 5–0. Trustee Daisy Chavez moved to adopt additions to the Malone Compensation Plan for 2024–2025, seconded by Dudik, and the motion passed unanimously. Trustees approved changes to the Local Annex of the Student Handbook for 2024–2025 on a motion from Dudik, seconded by Trustee Betty Penney; that motion was recorded as carried 5–0.
The special meeting was called to order at 7:12 p.m. and adjourned at 8:55 p.m. Present were trustees Daisy Chavez, Justin Dudik, Gary Freels, Betty Penney and Randy Piel; trustees Larry Hancock and Jamie Stephens were noted as absent. Superintendent Windy Schwartz and guests Leonard Buffe and Linda Buffe were recorded in the meeting attendance.
