Captain Joseph Scuitto and Undersheriff James Mullen, joined by Ulster County Legislator Gina Hansut, presented Chief Gerald Cocozza with a $25,000 check derived from confiscated drugs and money from criminal activity. The presenters said the annual distribution is divided among five municipalities; the board and police leaders thanked the county for the support.
Chief Cocozza acknowledged the department’s long-standing participation in the county URGENT Task Force and thanked county officials for the check. "It is an honor to have received this check," he said. The presentation concluded with applause and photos.
