James Garofalo addressed the board during public comment, saying Town Code does not require an interview for Planning Board reappointment and that he declined a courtesy interview offered because there were other applicants. He described his education, work and involvement in town and said he will state facts and disagree when appropriate.
Garofalo also asked the board to consider revising Table 1 in the Tax Exemption section of the Town Code, which he said is 20 years old. Supervisor Corcoran and Councilman Zambito said they understood the Town Code and explained the courtesy interview offer; Councilman Cauchi advised Garofalo to apply best-practice judgment to save applicants money and time.
