The Town of Marlborough Board voted to adopt the 2025 final budget at its Oct. 28, 2024 workshop meeting. Supervisor Corcoran told the board that a public hearing on the budget had been held Oct. 15, 2024, and the board moved to adopt the budget as presented.
Councilman Molinelli, Councilwoman Sessa and Councilman Cauchi recorded Yes votes; Councilman Zambito was absent. The formal resolution (Resolution #83) was moved and put to a vote and recorded as adopted. The board did not amend the budget during the meeting and did not identify any additional funding sources on the record during the adoption motion.
The adoption finalizes the town’s spending plan for 2025 and authorizes implementation steps in town departments. The board indicated the usual next steps of transitioning budgetary responsibility to department heads for the coming fiscal year.
