Board recognizes Students and Employees of the Month; FCCLA students brief trustees on activities
Summary
Madisonville CISD trustees recognized four Students of the Month and two Employees of the Month; MHS FCCLA representatives described leadership, competitive events and community involvement opportunities.
The board opened the Nov. 10 meeting by recognizing Students of the Month for November and presenting certificates and Mustang T‑shirts. Superintendent Dr. West read a proclamation and principals read student biographies; named Students of the Month were Eleanor Carmichael (Elementary), Nilson Quezada (Intermediate), Jacey Stevens (Jr. High) and Jayci Morris (High School).
Dr. West also recognized Junior High Employees of the Month Josefina Ramirez and Mason Jarrell and presented gifts from the board. Later in the meeting, MHS FCCLA representatives gave a brief presentation describing how they recruit members, areas in which members compete, and ways students participate in community service and leadership activities. No board action was taken on these items.
