Madisonville CISD earns 'superior' FIRST score and plans to move investments to TexPool Prime

During a public hearing at 5:56 p.m., Business Manager Kelley Terry reported that Madisonville CISD received a "superior" Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating, scoring 100 out of 100 for the 2024–2025 fiscal year.
Terry also reviewed tax collections, accounts payable and financial reports and told the board the district intends to move its investment accounts from TexPool to TexPool Prime to pursue higher interest earnings. Board President Dale Hurst opened and closed the brief public hearing; no public comments were recorded in the minutes.
No formal board action was taken on the investment change during the meeting; Terry presented it as an informational item to the board.
