The motion to divide the votes was made by Dr. Jason Cleere and seconded by Mike Corley and carried unanimously. The minutes state: "divide the 1917 votes allocated for Madisonville CISD to Dale Hurst with 959 votes, and to Greg McBee with 958 votes."
The board also adopted a resolution casting all 120 Madisonville CISD votes for the Grimes County Appraisal District board to Bryan Van Dyke for a term beginning Jan. 1, 2025 and ending Dec. 31, 2027; that motion likewise carried unanimously.
