District rolls out new infographic tied to LCAP goals, explains AP and subgroup metrics

Assistant Superintendent Sharp reviewed a redesigned district infographic that interweaves the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals with measurable metrics across the district.
Sharp explained the three LCAP goals and walked trustees through AP pass rates, CAASPP proficiency, CTE enrollment and subgroup data. "If we look at the AP pass rate... 74 percent of our students are passing AP tests with a 3 or higher," Sharp said, and she described the dashboard’s hover/callout features that will explain how figures are calculated. Trustees asked for clearer labeling (for example, making explicit that some percentages show percent of enrolled students and others show percent of that enrolled group scoring 3+), and staff said online hover boxes will provide context. Sharp noted some raw counts are not included in the public infographic but are available elsewhere: "The infographic can still be accessed by both, public and district staff by going to our Lamersville website, clicking on about LUSD and data dashboard," she said.
Trustees pushed for additional clarifications—adding an explanatory label or an "n=" for small-sample metrics, and whether PSAT administration for sophomores and juniors should appear—and staff said they would consider adding callouts and reviewing the PSAT presentation.
