Board adopts ordinance to levy special taxes for Mountain House school facilities

Superintendent Dr. Nicholas said the ordinance completes a long process assisted by bond counsel Chris Lynch of Jones Hall and is intended to provide additional special-tax authority to mitigate construction cost escalation for neighborhood and high-school projects. Clerk-led roll-call voting recorded five ayes and no noes.
The ordinance was presented as part of the broader facilities-funding strategy Dr. Nicholas outlined earlier in the meeting, which pairs CFD authority with developer agreements and certificates of compliance to secure timely capital for new campuses.
