Members of the Mountain House High DECA chapter presented their recent NorCal competition results and chapter accomplishments to the board, and described plans for state and international competition.
A student presenter said the chapter had doubled competitive success and achieved high placements at NorCal, noting the chapter’s growth and fundraising effort. “So overall chapter statistics. So as of 2023, we were the largest chapter in California,” the presenter said during the presentation. Advisor and student leaders described chapter campaigns, a student-run store and a partnership packet to solicit sponsorships.
Trustees and board members praised the students’ professionalism and strategic planning and asked about community involvement in judging case-study competitions; presenters said community members with relevant professional experience are invited to serve as judges. The board wished student competitors luck as they prepare for state and international events.
