The board recognized students from across the district who earned perfect scores on state assessments (CAASPP/CAST). Assistant Superintendent Sharp and several school principals invited students to the front of the boardroom for recognition and photographs; staff read the students' names and the campuses they represent, including Mountain House High, Bethany, Cortes, Costa, Hanson, Cuesta and Wickland.
"It's my pleasure to recognize students from Bethany Elementary who received perfect scores on the CAASPP assessment in ELA and math," a principal said as the board applauded. The recognition included students who earned perfect scores in single subjects and a smaller number who had perfect results across multiple subject areas. The board paused for photos and thanked families and staff for supporting the students' achievements.
No action was required; the recognition was ceremonial and intended to highlight high academic achievement across district schools.
