The Lammersville Joint Unified School District board voted unanimously on Nov. 13 to appoint Stephanie Olson to a provisional at-large board seat, effective Dec. 18, 2024, and running through the statutory end of the term in December 2026. The chair announced the motion passed “with 3 ayes and no nos.”
The appointment followed interviews of two candidates. The chair read the formal motion under Education Code 5091 and identified the mover and seconder during the public vote; the board recorded a 3–0 tally in favor of the nomination. The chair then told Olson, "Congratulations," and the board moved to adjourn to a closed session later in the meeting. The appointment fills the vacancy created by Trustee Colin Clements’ resignation and is designated as a provisional, at-large seat that will cease to exist once the district shifts to area-based seats after the Nov. 2026 election.
