Lammersville Joint Unified board approves 2023–24 unaudited actuals, adopts GANN limit and Con App

The Lammersville Joint Unified School District board on Sept. 18 approved routine but consequential fiscal items: the unaudited actuals for fiscal year 2023–24, a resolution establishing the district's annual appropriations (GANN) limits for 2023–24 and 2024–25, and the 2024–25 Consolidated Application identifying intended uses of federal Title funds. The measures passed on roll call with five ayes and no nos.

Superintendent Nicholas told the board the county's review found the district can meet its financial obligations for the current and two subsequent years. "We received a letter that says that we can meet our financial obligations for this current and the two subsequent years," he said, thanking fiscal staff for their work. Business staff described the unaudited actuals as the final procedural step in the annual budget process and recommended approval; a trustee moved the unaudited actuals, the motion was seconded, and the board approved it unanimously.

The GANN resolution formalizes the district's annual appropriations limits required under state law, and the Con App documents planned uses of federal Title funds such as Title I supports. Trustees voted on each item separately, each passing with five ayes and no nos. The board recorded a roll-call vote for the GANN resolution; the motion passed on unanimous support.
