At its Oct. 20 meeting the Rockdale ISD Board of Trustees approved routine consent-agenda items including: minutes from Sept. 15; the September 2025 financial report; two general budget transfers described as budget neutral; the July‑Sept Quarterly Investment report; the Rockdale ISD School Library Advisory Committee (SLAC) book lists; and a resolution directing district employees and contractors to comply with Senate Bill 12. The motions recorded in the minutes carried unanimously (7–0).
The minutes state that SLAC book titles were reviewed by district librarians and the Region 6 Education Service Center to ensure alignment with educational standards and district policy. The SB12 resolution was presented as directing compliance with parental-rights requirements enacted during the 89th Legislature. The board also approved by resolution a nomination of Tim Arledge to the Milam Appraisal District Board of Directors.
