Board approves wellness-policy changes, a new board-access policy and administrator compensation policy

The board also voted to adopt policy 0143.2 on board member access to information, intended to formalize procedures for members requesting supporting material, and policy 1500 on administrator compensation, which gives the superintendent responsibility to present market and staffing data for board consideration. Each motion passed on roll-call votes recorded in the meeting transcript. Board members discussed that additional supporting materials should be made available in advance when policy or compensation decisions are considered.
