Sanilac County commissioners accepted a 2026 remonumentation grant of $71,665 to complete 50 corners and approved associated surveyor and administrator allocations at the Dec. 16 meeting.
The board also authorized payment not to exceed $22,950 for lead and mold abatement and demolition services at a Brown City property, funded from the State Land Bank Authority. Separately, the board approved an amendment to a previously adopted resolution for the Village of Peck Park project: the village agreed to cover an overage of $23,240, producing a revised project total as recorded in the minutes (the transcript shows formatting issues in the final figure). All motions passed by voice vote.
