Wood, who participated remotely, told the board that the task force has experienced leadership changes but is stabilizing. "It's been going pretty well," he said. "...having everything under the sheriff's department." Commissioner Roger Ballard offered personal support, saying he had known the Wood family for many years and called Cole "a great addition to the board." The motion to appoint Wood was moved and carried by voice vote.
