Commission to remove hunting stands on Bates easement; Route 84 violation remains under state review

The commission reported that a letter requesting removal of hunting stands on the Bates property (a Seacoast Land Trust conservation easement) was sent at the end of June. Vice Chair Shawn Hanson said he will reach out to Cole at NH Fish and Game and then, together with Commissioner John Sobutka, they will remove the stands.
Commissioners also discussed a separate violation on Route 84. The minutes state the matter has been referred but the State has not yet reviewed the violation; no enforcement outcome was recorded in the meeting minutes.
