FinCom approves Jan. 21 minutes, schedules Collins Center briefing and notes committee vacancies

At the February 4 meeting the committee approved the January 21, 2026 minutes. Allan Rogers moved to approve the minutes as amended; Rachel Orr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (7–0). Later in the meeting Ruth Konigsberg and Alex Meleney moved to adjourn at 9:49 PM; Allan Rogers seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Committee reports noted four FinCom vacancies with two incumbents running in the upcoming election cycle and the recent resignation of Tisbury Select Board member Christina Colarusso. Members discussed a citizen petition to increase the Select Board from three to five members. The meeting calendar in the appendix set several FinCom meetings in February, a joint Collins Center briefing in early March and reminders of nomination and FinCom recommendation deadlines (nomination deadline March 24; FinCom recommendation deadline March 27). The Recorder’s notes indicate meeting minutes were approved as amended on March 4, 2026.
The committee recorded several administrative action items, including Nancy Gilfoy’s follow-up to request teachers’ contract copies and average MVRHS teacher salary information from Mark Friedman, and scheduling of budget interviews and grant requests during budget season.
