Dr. Wise told the board that the budget "is operating as it should" while flagging increased expenditures this year driven primarily by renovation projects. He said the work on roofs, sidewalks and parking lots at Lakeview and Prairieview explains the near-term rise in spending and that the renovation effort will span two fiscal years. There were no public comments during the hearing, and the session was adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
