County says new animal control facility ‘phenomenal’; open house expected within two weeks

Nathan said licensing paperwork has been submitted and Commissioner Black signed required material today to allow state processing. He predicted an open house "in the next 2 weeks" so the public can tour the facility before animals are moved in; staff will handle moving animals and plan adoption and public-engagement events once the facility is licensed. The board discussed timing and emphasized public engagement and outreach when the building opens.
