Tisbury committee approves $11,500 reserve transfer to install time clocks

The Tisbury Finance and Advisory Committee on Feb. 11 approved an $11,500 withdrawal from the Reserve Fund to buy 7–10 time clocks for town buildings. Town Administrator Joe LaCivita said the change follows the Town’s recent move from weekly to biweekly payroll and is intended to ensure consistency and link time clocks directly to payroll software.
Alex Meleney moved the transfer and Louis Pashman seconded; the motion passed with four votes in favor and one abstention. As recorded, "ALEX MELENEY MOVED THAT THE TISBURY FINANCE AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPROVE THE WITHDRAWAL OF $11,500 FROM THE RESERVE FUND FOR THE TISBURY SELECT BOARD REQUEST TO INSTALL TIME CLOCKS; LOUIS PASHMAN SECONDED; MOTION PASSED: 4 AYES, 0 NAYS, 1 ABSTENTION." Rachel Orr recorded an abstention and indicated a preference for placing the purchase on a warrant article rather than a Reserve Fund transfer.
The committee and Mr. LaCivita agreed installation would be delayed until payroll and time-calculation issues were fully resolved; police and emergency personnel were excluded from this rollout because they are in a different union.
