The Sun Valley City Council voted to approve Final Plat Application #SUBFT2013-12 for Lane Ranch North during a special meeting Feb. 18, 2014. Council President Keith Saks moved for approval, seconded by Council Member Michelle Griffith; the roll-call vote recorded AYES: Keith Saks, Michelle Griffith and Peter Hendricks, NAYS: none. Mayor Dewayne Briscoe declared the motion approved.
Community Development Director Mark Hofman and the applicant's attorney, Evan Robertson, answered council questions during the continued public hearing before the vote. Council Member Franz Suhadolnik announced he would recuse himself from the Lane Ranch discussion and left the dais prior to the motion. The council's approval adopted staff's Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Conditions of Approval, including a plat note referencing sections 3(E) and 4(E) of the final plat exhibit; the motion also specified inclusion of exhibits A, B, C and D of the original development agreement and directed that the word “structures” be replaced with “buildings” in item #7 of the Conditions of Approval.
The approval was recorded on the meeting minutes as a formal roll-call action (motion moved by Keith Saks and seconded by Michelle Griffith). No public comments were entered during the hearing before the council took action.
