County Controller Paul Compo presented amendments to the FY2025 General Fund and Special Revenue Fund budgets and the board approved both amendments by roll-call votes. Compo told commissioners the audit committee will meet after the session and that a balanced draft budget for next year will be included in the Sept. 11 meeting packet. He also said a tentative agreement with COAM has been reached and the document will be brought to the board after formal adoption by the bargaining unit.
Compo said the county received four bids for the county’s IT service contract and that staff are checking references before a procurement decision. He also asked for consensus to continue having the Crawford County Brownfield Authority facilitate and oversee a related EPA grant; commissioners signaled their support. These actions advance routine fiscal housekeeping ahead of the formal budget cycle.
