The budget hearing, opened at 10:09 A.M., included presentations from County Controller Paul Compo and comments from Sheriff Ryan Swope, Prosecutor Sierra Koch and Undersheriff Shawn Schnoor.
County Controller Paul Compo reviewed highlights of the General and Special Revenue Funds, salary schedules, the General Appropriation Act and the Position Control Roster ahead of the vote. The Board voted by roll call to adopt the budget and authorized the Chairperson to sign the appropriation resolution. "to adopt the FY 2025/2026 Budget in the amount of $7,188,626.00 as presented," appears verbatim in the meeting record. The Position Control Roster was reviewed as an addendum to the Act; no additions to positions were made without board approval.
