District confirms no changes to IDOT hazardous-transportation areas for FY2026

Dale Heidbreder reviewed the district’s required annual IDOT hazardous-transportation-area review for fiscal year 2026 and told the board there were no changes from the prior year. He explained the map color coding: orange denotes IDOT-designated hazardous zones, green indicates areas within 1.5 miles that are not transported, and purple shows district boundaries.
"On the map, the orange area indicates the IDOT-designated hazardous zone, green represents areas within a mile and a half that are not transported, and purple shows the district boundaries. There are no changes to any of these areas compared to last year," Heidbreder said. The review was presented as an annual compliance item and required no board action beyond acknowledgment.
