The Sun Valley City Council adopted Ordinance 464, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2013, on Aug. 26 after a tie-breaking vote by Mayor Dewayne Briscoe. Council Members Franz Suhadolnik and Nils Ribi voted "aye," Council President Bob Youngman and Council Member Michelle Griffith voted "nay," and Mayor Briscoe cast the deciding "aye," approving the ordinance.
"MOTION Council Member Nils Ribi moved to adopt Ordinance 464, seconded by Council Member Franz Suhadolnik," the transcript records. The council had earlier voted to waive the third reading of the ordinance after a separate motion to dispense with the rule passed on a 4-0 roll call.
City Attorney Adam King introduced the third reading and budget discussion preceded the final adoption vote. The ordinance implements the city's annual appropriation for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2013. No executive session was called during the special meeting. The council adjourned at 2:11 p.m.
