Council approves five-year building inspection services agreement with True Check LLC

Community Development Coordinator Todd Peterson presented an agreement with True Check LLC to provide building official services and code administration under the Minnesota Building Code on a five-year term expiring Dec. 31, 2031. The contract sets fees for the first three years with the option to negotiate thereafter.
Councilmembers discussed the item and unanimously approved the agreement and authorized staff signatures. Peterson also reported coordination among Police, the Building Official and the City Attorney to pursue inspections on four properties identified as potentially hazardous, including three with fire damage and one in need of substantial work.
