Roseau council approves consent agenda, accepts donations and names election judges

At the July 6 meeting the Council approved the consent agenda by unanimous vote, including presentation of accounts payable and checks, receipts and journal entries for the month and the June 2026 City Revenues & Expenditures report. The Council also adopted Resolution No. 33-26 accepting multiple sponsor donations for the City of Roseau Gazebo Concert Series (donors include Border Bank, Karl Manufacturing, Citizens State Bank and others).
The Council accepted a $1,430 grant from Northwest Minnesota Arts Council for Gazebo Night concerts (Res. 36-26) and a $2,000 Explore Minnesota Tourism grant for CVB/tourism support (Res. 37-26). Council also amended and adopted a resolution appointing election judges for the 2026 Primary and General elections, naming Mary Foley and Deanne Vatnsdal as head judges and listing additional judges as permitted by the clerk.
