Trustees on Sept. 2 approved a quote from William Charles Electric, LLC (Rockford, IL) to install a new traffic-signal mast arm and pole and remove the temporary signals at the intersection of Newburg and Mill Road for $38,990, charged to line item 5415 Public Works.
Trustee Mike Neville said the repairs were needed due to a traffic accident; the village is working to obtain reimbursement. The board was informed the lead time on the mast arm and pole is 15–20 weeks. The motion passed by roll-call vote (5 AYE, Trustee Nancy Belt absent).
